The regular clothes or home iron's  top temperature is 325 degrees,  just a little cool to for a good transfer.
T-shirts: Robin's Running Iron works great on small transfers, caps and hats, but does not work as well large washable, transfers like t-shirts. A person taking time should  be able to get a good bond to the t-shirt, I don't have the patience.
